For the first time the Ken Fox Wall of Death is coming to the Ardingly Classic Bike Show.
The Fox family have been touring and entertaining the public since the 1920s. With their vintage Indian Scout motorcycles and 20ft high vertical wall, this is a show that needs to be seen to be believed! The noise, the speed, the smell and the proximity of the bikes ridden all the way to the very top of the wall, within inches of the audience, is an experience never to be forgotten. Not only do the riders defy gravity as they race around these vertical walls, they also perform stunts on their vintage machines, to amaze crowds with a show that has lasted 100 years. Event organiser Julie Diplock (AKA Vintage Bike Bird) has previously ridden around the Wall of Death and hopes to make a return appearance during her busy day at the show. Entry to the Wall of Death is just £5 and children go free.
The Ardingly Classic Bike Show & Jumble is hald at the South of England Showground on Sunday 26th July. This summer's event features a lightweight racing theme and a special tribute to Dresda cafe racers, celebrating the legacy of the late Dave Degens. Spanning two acres, the show includes club displays, private entries, and an all-motorcycle autojumble. Open to all eras, machines on display will range from vintage classics to more modern icons.
